Just imagine: no coordinating calendars, no traffic, no hour-long wait for a table. Wouldn't a date night be more romantic, more carefree, and, well, just plain better without all that stress? So why not schedule a "stay in" with your spouse in your own house? Plus, if you stay home, you can have a "naked date night" if you feel like it! It also goes without saying that if you stay in together, you'll save money, which will make you want to do this more often. So set the kids up with a video (or wait until their in the bed), fire up your imagination, and vow to make peace with the dust bunnies for once (it's tough to feel romantic when you're thinking about vacuuming!). Then, get a room — in your own home. Whether you start in the bedroom, the den, or the master bath, you'll end up thinking, "We should come here more often!" Use the resources you have, light candles, turn out the lights and act as though your power is out. Make sure you both mute or turn off your phones also. Find something a little out of the norm for each other that sets your night apart from the typical evening you share. Ladies, wear a sexy pair of panties (or no panties... and tell him that), see how he responds. Men, shave and do some 'manscaping' on your beard or 'other areas'that she might really like. Wear your best cologne that she loves and set candles aroud the house in places you want to take her later for your bedtime activities. Use the tub or shower together with just a candle burning on the counter. Use your imagination and create a date night that both will remember with a wide grins on your faces.
